Commercial CCR

  1. How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues? It allows for an easier way to transport your items. It represents mostly students since they are more likely to purchase this. 2. How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text? This commercial shows the audience the product, it’s durability, and it’s capabilities. Since this commercial would be targeting students it would be distributed mostly on teen age gaming apps and tv/movie streaming services.  3. How did your production skills develop throughout this project? My skills have increased tremendously I went from knowing nothing to knowing most of the filming terms, how to take different types of takes, and how to edit and put the final product together. 4. How did you integrate technologies - software, hardware, and online - in this project? I used laptops for the research and planning for the project. Then I used my phone to

My group and I worked so hard on this commercial. I got exactly what I envisioned. I could not be happier on everything we worked on. The filming that I did was mostly good takes. So I was easily able to transfer most of the footage and start editing. Editing was really fun and interesting. I had a little bit of a difficult time while trying to figure out how to do certain things on the editing software. With all of my troubles I was still able to figure it out and make it look very nice. One of my favorite parts was working on the soundtrack I had to take multiple clips of a song and mash them together for the sound I wanted. This project was so much fun and cool to learn about. Can’t wait to do the next one.

Finalizing Blog

Today I finalized all the editing for the commercial. I was really excited to finish up.  I synced the music to the actions in the advertisement. I clipped some of the scenes to make it look even better. I removed the original audio and put the soundtrack over the clips. I made sure the actor looked more natural with the music. I asked people to give me input on what I could improve. I removed more of the clips that didn’t really go well with the final product. I used a lot of fade out edits to make the scenes look more dramatic. I think it created a cool effect. I added the logo and slogan of the company to make it look more like a commercial. I made sure to get the timing right with the transitions. I used the music to create a more up neat vibe to the advertisement. I emphasized on the logos. I edited the amount of zoom I wanted in certain scenes. I make the part of showing how durable it is more oblivious. I also made sure to show off the different colors. After I double checked

Editing film

Today I was able to start editing the commercial. I was very excited to test my knowledge on editing and see how well I could do. I decided to use iMovie‘s. I first picked  which takes I wanted to use for the final product. I then  laid them all out on the software. I rearrange the takes into the order for the final product. Once I got them all in the correct place, I had to cut some of the footage to make it shorter and meet the time requirement. We had already discussed the music to be believer from Imagine Dragons. When I tried to add the music in didn’t sound good at the cut off. So I had to edit the Soundtrack so that the music would match the footage. I added the different editing  transitions such as wipe, fade, and dissolve. After I incorporated all of these aspects together, I was able to get a rough draft on how the commercial would look. So far it looks good and I am excited for the finished product. It is cool to see all the takes that I filmed. All of the different shots

Today my partner and I were able to work on reshoots and decided which takes to use as the final shots. I filmed just a few extra shots that could be incorporated into the commercial. I was able to gather all the takes and selected which ones were good enough to be in the final film. I look at some different editing software yet I haven’t decided which one to use. iMovies seems like the best option so far. Although I haven’t decided on what to use for editing I’m still excited to get to edit. Especially knowing that I put a lot of work and effort into this production. Once I edit the takes into the final product it will all come together and make sense. After our research I know how I want the commercial to look, but will I be able to edit it to my liking? This is why the software I use has so much importance. Originally I was afraid that the weather would be a big obstacle for recording. Filming is now done and there was no bad weather to ruin it.   Today me and my partner Leandro were able to go and work on production. Today we focused only on filming. We were able to take many takes with different shots, angles and movements. I was able to focus on filming while my partner acted. Our skills worked excellently together. Today my favorite part when filming was the tracking shot. I was so amazing to see the way the camera capture the true details of the entire scenery. Although it was a bit frustrating at first when filming. We had to do many takes just to do 1 scene. Seeing all our ideas being acted out makes me even more excited for the next step. I can't wait to dee our finished product that's why I enjoy each little step that is needed to create an elaborate and fun project. There were times where we had to change up ideas a little bit. But in the end it’s to create an easier and an even better looking commercial. Next class we are going to focus on editing and anymore filming if necessary. When filming I realized tha
