Today my partner and I were able to work on reshoots and decided which takes to use as the final shots. I filmed just a few extra shots that could be incorporated into the commercial. I was able to gather all the takes and selected which ones were good enough to be in the final film. I look at some different editing software yet I haven’t decided which one to use. iMovies seems like the best option so far. Although I haven’t decided on what to use for editing I’m still excited to get to edit. Especially knowing that I put a lot of work and effort into this production. Once I edit the takes into the final product it will all come together and make sense. After our research I know how I want the commercial to look, but will I be able to edit it to my liking? This is why the software I use has so much importance. Originally I was afraid that the weather would be a big obstacle for recording. Filming is now done and there was no bad weather to ruin it. The idea to do the Jansport backpack commercial was honestly such an amazing idea. It just was able to work out so smoothly. Although this wasn’t filmed professionally it still looks like a very well thought commercial. In research we found that these commercials have little to no dialogue, so it would be best to just use the music to be in the background. I love the different shots and angles we used. I want to use many different edits mostly likely fade out/in and cross-cutting. I don’t yet know if I want to add any special effects or sounds. I just want to do whatever will make this commercial better. So, in the editing stages I’ll make sure that our commercial stands out.
