  What is the take away from the video?   I have acknowledged all the aspects and things needed to make a film. I learned the writing tips, production and post production steps and procedures. I could take away that there are ways to be better prepared for filming then I have before.     What good information did you gather while watching  it?   Budgeting and the resources you have access to will be crucial throughout the entire making of the film. When editing, cut the scenes down until you can't anymore which will shorten the film to just the important parts of it. Preparation is key for a film. However, even if you create a storyboard for the entire film, there still may be changes while making it. Stick to a theme and a tone and let it guide the story. If you do not do so, it will confuse the audience. Lastly, taking care of your cast is important because if you do not have respect them, they may not make it as easy to film.     How do you envision this helping you through your

  I chose the drama genre, because it best suited my pitch. It also has many convention that I am confident that I will be able to expose at its highest capacity. I will also able to shape the script around this drama to truly show the genre. It will also be important that all the characters show their emotions to effectively display this genre.

Common camera angles and movements in Thrillers are high angles, close ups, and tilted. Long shots and over the shoulder shots are also commonly used in Thrillers. A commonly used camera movement in Thrillers  is tracking. In a thriller common Mis-En-Scene are the costumes and they usually are casual. The lighting is usually dim and low. The acting is traditionally worried, scared, and concerned. Props in thrillers are most likely weapons for either the protagonist or the antagonist to use. The setting is usually scary, small and dark. Common sound in Thrillers are suspending music, sound effects like small noises increased to loud volume and loud noises. The editing commonly used in thrillers is cutaways. It creates suspense, tension, and also conveys the emotions of the actor. Example of Thriller Movies are The Joker, Countdown and Fantasy Island. I like that a thriller is very suspenseful and how the tension grows throughout the movie. A thriller allows for the viewer to be engaged

  An Action genre film is a film filled with a conflict that is usually dealt with violence. Common camera angles and movements found in the action genre are extreme long shot, long shot, medium shot, close up, extreme close up, high angle, and low angle. Common sounds in action are diegetic sound, dialogue, and sound effects. Common Mis-En-Scene are props that are usually broken throughout a fight and a setting that is usually suited for some sort of battle. Common editing in action are cross-cutting, cutaway, and cuts. Example of some films in this genre are Mission Impossible: Fallout, Endgame, and Jurassic World. I love the amount of shots in order to keep the viewer engaged, but I don’t think I will be able to break props to truly convey the feeling of action.

Common Mis-En-Scene are props that are usually broken throughout a fight and a setting that is usually suited for some sort of battle. Common editing in action are cross-cutting, cutaway, and cuts. Example of some films in this genre are Titanic, The Fallout, and Amsterdam. I love the amount of shots in order to keep the viewer engaged, but I don’t think I will be able to break props to truly convey the feeling of action.

  In film there are many different creative routes to go. Each idea is filled with different types of elements to best suit what the director wishes to convey. Genres separate from these different types of film into categories based on what the film is about. This also allows viewers to easily select which movie they want to watch based on its genre. So for my short film these are three genres that I think will best suit my film. Action Thriller Drama
