I n this Critical Reflection, I will evaluate my short film titled "Ransom" that aims to explore the social issues of family dynamics and drug abuse. The film showcases the use of cinematic elements to create a coherent and impactful brand. The Ransom represents the social group of older siblings having to become a parental figure in the household and their struggles to balance family responsibilities and societal pressures. The film's protagonist, a young man who is battling a drug addiction, navigates a difficult relationship with his brother who gets abducted under his supervision.
