My Production Team

 I will work with my classmate Jack Strien. We will create something fun in A level. Based on last year and each group I was in I felt that it would be best for me to continue to work with a partner. I’m really interested in all the cool and fun activities in A level. I’m excited to get to work on this year in A level and use my technological skills. I’ve been able to work on my editing. I am sure that we will be able to create an amazing project throughout this year of A level. I feel that with Jack I will be able to use all our prior knowledge that would benefit us as a group. I have watched many more movies and tv shows so I am excited for this year of A level. I can’t wait to see more about how we will produce this year‘s project. I know a lot of hard work and many different roles are needed to produce a good film and I want to do my best to help my group get it done. I like the way that actors really have to become a new person and they seem good at acting so I look forward on doing as well as last time. The way that actors have to embody a whole new character is very interesting. This year will have to be made by us looking at the world from a new perspective. We can do something that we’re not used to doing and also enjoy it. I love the fact that the I can use my ideas to help create great ideas between both of us. I feel that I worked so well last time and this year I’ll do even better. I have a big imagination and lots of creativity. I hope I can take all of our ideas and create a fun and amazing A level year. I really want to use the filming skills I have learned for this A level. I hope that we do a very nice job in this year. I have high expectations for A level and can’t wait to get to work.

Movie Conventions Blog: Knives Out

  This movie contains many close-up shots on individual character's faces. Usually mystery movies consist of close-up shots to show facial expressions of the character. Typically fear, anger, and sadness are the emotions showed. However, In Knives Out, the characters tend to have confused facial expressions because they clues they run into do not make sense to them. Also, the diegetic sound in this film is similar to traditional mystery movies because of the startling ambient sounds. For example, when the detective is walking through the house, the floorboards creek and clock ticks loudly.                     I really love the low angles in this movie because it shows me which characters are the powerful ones. Title Website Research

         The website Art of the Title is a title art website that details and describes the titles sequences. The website conveys these title sequences by showcasing a major story, above this page is a search bar that allows the searcher to look for specific directors and producers. At the bottom of the page the website features stories detailing major things happening in the title design industry. This website also features classic title designs in the search bar along with recommended title screens. Another cool feature of this website is that it allows the viewer to view all title themes in a grid view. These features make the website really useful and the extensive amount of films combined with the articles written about them make this website great for researching titles.
