Title Website Research

The website Art of the Title is a title art website that details and describes the titles sequences. The website conveys these title sequences by showcasing a major story, above this page is a search bar that allows the searcher to look for specific directors and producers. At the bottom of the page the website features stories detailing major things happening in the title design industry. This website also features classic title designs in the search bar along with recommended title screens. Another cool feature of this website is that it allows the viewer to view all title themes in a grid view. These features make the website really useful and the extensive amount of films combined with the articles written about them make this website great for researching titles. However despite all of these features it can be difficult to find movies of a specific genre which mitigates a lot of the websites pros. I believe that the website could also be improved through the supplementation of  more information when in the grid view. Despite these shortcomings the website is great and its extensive list of features are useful for any researcher. Personally I believe that the best feature of the website is the analysis on most titles that provides a useful and in depth description of the title phase.

Another great website I discovered when researching title scenes was watch the titles. This website shares some similarities with Art of the Title as this site features a slightly different search bar at the top of the page coupled with a variety of media breaking down titles. This site also displays different genres of film such as TV shows and games to appeal to a more broad audience. My favorite feature of this site is the side scrolling director page below the featured story this feature appeals to me because it helps increase my knowledge of the film industry and showcases figures behind the media that I consume daily.  This site also has another strong-suit which is the ability to view all of the films created by a studio which allowed me to analyze the similarities and differences between films. Furthermore this site appeals to me because it promotes student films which relates closely to me and shows  This site also has another strong-suit which is the ability to view all of the films created by replicable products I am capable of creating. Despite these amazing features I believe that this  site struggles in quantity and displays much less articles upon search then other websites. Another shared issue that I have realized upon analyzing the site is that it lacks the ability to search by genre which makes it difficult to do a broad search of films. Overall this site has many benefits that appeal to me and allow me to gain a lot of information about the title sequence. However as mentioned despite these benefits there are some shortcomings of the website that make it difficult to use at times.
