I n this Critical Reflection, I will evaluate my short film titled "Ransom" that aims to explore the social issues of family dynamics and drug abuse. The film showcases the use of cinematic elements to create a coherent and impactful brand. The Ransom represents the social group of older siblings having to become a parental figure in the household and their struggles to balance family responsibilities and societal pressures. The film's protagonist, a young man who is battling a drug addiction, navigates a difficult relationship with his brother who gets abducted under his supervision. Through the character's struggle, the film raises awareness of the challenges faced by addicts in similar situations and their impact on family dynamics.
